Founding and Mission
The Children’s Ark Christian Day School was founded in 1994. It is a ministry of Sent Church that seeks to provide a safe educational environment for children to learn and grow. We aspire to partner with families to help develop young children socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically and spiritually. Our staff is dedicated to serving the needs of our families. What sets us apart in Plano is our commitment to helping children learn about Jesus.
For 30 years, it has been both an honor and a privilege to provide the community's youngest members with a Bible-centered education and compassionate care. Our greatest responsibility is helping to develop children who are equipped with the knowledge, confidence and ability to prosper as they are sent out into the world.
Our Goals
Promote Emotional Growth:
Build self-confidence and a sense of self-worth by allowing choices within limits. Provide a safe work and play environment for children. Encourage curiosity and a sense of wonder with emphasis on self-motivation.
Promote Intellectual Growth:
Our curriculum includes art, math, science, cooking, music and movement, large muscle, practical life, dramatic play, language arts and fine motor activities.
Promote Social Growth:
Instill a sense of caring for and sensitivity towards others. Recognition of group needs vs. individual differences.
Our Facilities
We pride ourselves on providing a facility that is safe, child-friendly and enriching, designed to cater to the needs and development of your children.
Indoor and Outdoor Playgrounds: We offer an indoor playground and two outdoor playgrounds, all equipped with a variety of equipment and safety features. These play areas encourage physical activity, social interaction and imaginative play in a secure environment.
Classrooms: Our facility includes seven spacious and well-equipped classrooms. Each classroom is designed to create a stimulating learning environment, fostering creativity and cognitive development through a variety of educational activities and materials.
Safety and Security: Every room and playground is monitored by security cameras, ensuring constant supervision. Our doors remain locked, with access granted only to authorized individuals through unique parent passcodes. The structured drop-off process further enhances safety.
