Our Team


Belinda Harp, Preschool Director

Belinda has been married to her husband Donnie Harp for over 28 years; mother of 10 children and grandmother of 17. She believes that God has given her the ability to love and raise children no matter what their background is. Belinda and her husband were foster parents for several years and adopted the last 5 that were at their home. Her love and care for children were evident from an early age. God opened a door for her to work in childcare back in August of 2009 when she opened her own daycare.

Belinda has led the opening of two church daycares: one in Durant, Oklahoma, and another one McKinney, Texas. She has an Associate’s Degree in Child Development from Murray State College. Belinda joined the Sent Team at The Children’s Ark in July 2018.

Becca Caccavale, Assistant Director 
Becca comes to The Children’s Ark with over 11 years of experience as both a teacher and an assistant director.  She loves what she does and has a passion for assisting teachers in reaching their highest potential as educators of young minds. She knows that selecting a preschool for your children is an important choice and strives to create a fun, and safe environment for the children in our care. She looks forward to getting to know you and building relationships with your family!

Marilyn Charbonneau, Infant Teacher

Marilyn has worked for The Children’s Ark since February 2003. Marilyn is the Lead Teacher in the Crawlers class. Her class ranges from 6-12 months. Marilyn strives to provide a fun, safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow in.

Gona Saideed, Infant Teacher

Gona is the assistant teacher in infants. Gona has been married for over 10 years and has 2 children. She has a Master’s Degree in Art. Gona taught at The University in Iraq. She has been at The Children’s Ark since August 2019. Gona said “I am proud to call The Children’s Ark home and thank you for trusting us with your child”. 

Kim Hernandez, Infant & Toddler Floater

Kim and her husband Jerry have been married for over 34 years and have 2 grown sons. Kim has been with The Children’s Ark since 2/2007. She started as a teacher in the “Mother’s Day Out program”. When we closed that program, Kim transferred to The Children’s Ark.  Kim is a floater and works in every room helping out the lead teachers and filling in wherever she is needed. Kim loves working with children and making sure they are safe, happy and loved.

Tomi Aluko, Toddler Lead Teacher

Tomi has been with The Children’s Ark since September 2018. Tomi started in our crawler room, moved to toddlers and is now our lead teacher in preschool 1. She said “I love my kids, they are so smart and adorable and they give me a good workout”. Tomi is currently going to college to get her degree in marketing. 

Yissell Orellana, Preschool 2 Lead Teacher

Yissell is married and has 2 daughters. She has been teaching in childcare for 3 years. Yissell has been teaching at The Children’s Ark since March 2019. Yissell is Lead Teacher in our Preschool 2 class which is 2 year olds. She is excited to teach your child and getting to know each one of them.

Jazmin Zarazua, Preschool Floater

Jazmin is currently a student at the University of Texas at Dallas. Jazmin helps out in our Preschool classrooms, assisting the teachers with lessons or anything they need. Jazmin has worked at The Children’s Ark since April 2019. This is her first job as a daycare teacher. She enjoys spending time with your children.

Trina Datta, Pre-K 1 Lead Teacher

Trina is married with 2 children. She has worked with children for 3 ½ years before coming to The Children’s Ark. She has experience teaching Middle School and High School as well. Trina loves to help children learn to develop social and behavioral patterns, as well as confidence and self-reliance. Trina has been with The Children’s Ark since March 2019.

Cynthia Darlington, Pre-K 2 Lead Teacher

Cynthia has 2 children and 1 grandchild. Cynthia has been working for The Children’s Ark since November 2007. Cynthia loves teaching the children about Jesus and helping them explore the world around them. When your child leaves Cynthia’s class they are more than ready for kindergarten.

Victoria Chance, After School Teacher

Victoria is married and has a daughter named Ellianna. Victoria has worked in child care for 7 years before coming to The Children’s Ark. She is a full-time college student majoring to be a youth pastor. Victoria loves working with kids of all ages and being able to watch them grow. She loves pouring into their lives by teaching them about God and helping them find a path to self-determination, confidence and success in a Godly lifestyle. Victoria has been at The Children’s Ark since January 2019.
