Classroom Objectives:
- To prepare children for Kindergarten by emphasizing social and academic readiness.
- To help the children develop age-appropriate social skills.
Teaching Focus:
- Emphasize pre-Kindergarten skills such as name writing, letter recognition, phonemic awareness, number recognition and following directions.
- Providing a safe setting which encourages the children to develop their social skills, experience independence and develop a positive self-image
- Providing a loving, fun and nurturing environment for all children.

Daily Schedule:
9:00 – 10:00 - Centers

(9 centers consisting of Language Arts, Science, Reading, Building, Computer, Art, Craft, Dramatic Play and Math). Children rotate throughout the week
10:00 – 10:25 - Circle time

Attendance, Calendar, Weather, and Discussion time about topic of the week along with music, story, and/or large group experiments.
10:25 – 10:35 - Bathroom
10:35 – 10:45 - Snack
10:45 – 11:00 - Letter of the Week Writing Lesson, ABC cheer (phonic cheer), and the Chicka Boom Tree
11:00 – 11:25 - Centers and/or Bible & Music on Wed. & Thurs.
11:25 – 11:30 - Bathroom
11:30 – 11:55 - Recess
11:55 – 12:00 - Wash hands
12:00 – 12:30 - Lunch
12:30 - Early dismissal and Bathroom for those staying for all day Pre-K
12:35 – 1:00 - Bible Lesson (story)
1:00 – 1:45 - Open centers tailored for afternoon lessons
1:45 – 2:00 - Circle time
2:00 - Dismissal
