FAQs
- Tell me about your teachers. We have an experienced, high quality staff! Many of our staff have been with us between five and twelve years!!! We have a low staff turn-over.
Our teachers are required to obtain 15 hours of continued education in early childhood and classroom management each year. They all are truly dedicated to our program and to the children in their classes.
- Do you use a curriculum? Our Preschool & Pre-K classes use the WEE Learn curriculum and the teachers for the younger classes develop their own curriculum based on the children in the class. They choose weekly themes and plan their activities around the theme. The curriculum includes opportunities for large group activities, free choice, craft projects, and individualized time with the teacher.
- How is your tuition figured? Do I pay weekly, monthly? What about during Spring Break month when we are not at school a full month-do I get a discount? Tuition is an annual fee, broken into 9 equal payments. Tuition is due by the 5th of each month. We offer a 10% 2nd child discount for families with 2 or more children in our program.
- What is your school calendar? We follow the Plano ISD school year calendar, with the exception of start dates and early release days. Our school year begins in August and runs through early June. We currently do not have a summer program.
- What does your weekly Bible Time consist of? We teach the children “classic” Bible Stories such as Creation, Noah’s Ark, Christmas & the Easter Story. We emphasize in both Bible & Music Time and within the classroom that God loves us and wants to be our friend.
- What happens if it’s raining? Do the children stay in the classroom all day? Each class has 20 minutes a day to play outside. If the weather does not permit, we have an area designated for the Preschool to use in our Children’s Ministry sanctuary which contains riding toys, a slide, and balls. This enables the children to still be able to exercise and burn off some energy! We also have access to an indoor gymnasium on our campus!
- Do I need to provide a snack and lunch for my child?
- Snack: Morning snack is provided. We provide a variety of nutritional menu items including cheese and crackers, fresh fruit, cereal and vegetables.
- Lunch: Parents do provide the lunch for their children. Each child brings a lunchbox with food prepared at home. Our classroom teachers do not have microwaves in their rooms, so the food needs to be ready to eat!
- Do you follow the state requirements for child care? We adhere to all State of Texas Licensing Regulations and maintain higher than the minimum standard requirements.
